TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • These terms and conditions, together with those available from our Service Centre, are all the terms of the contract, between you the sender of the shipment, and us. Decent Couriers when you give us your shipment you accept our terms both for yourself and anyone else who is interested in the shipment. Our terms and conditions also protect anyone who may contract to collect transport or deliver your shipment. No employee of Decent Couriers or anyone else has the authority to change any of our terms and conditions or make any promise on our behalf.
  • What shipment means
     Shipment means all documents or parcels that travel under one bill, you certify that shipment details are complete and accurate.
  • Shipment we do not accept.
     We do not accept as a shipment that is restricted by IATA (International Air transport Association) or ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisaion).
  • We decide we cannot transport safely or legally.
     You can get full information from our service centre about shipments that we do not currently accept. You certify that your shipment is not restricted to any of the above nor contains cash/liquids.
  • Inspection charging
     You agree that we may open and inspect a shipment for any reason at any time we charge according to the higher or actual or volumetric weight.
  • If you have asked us to bill the receiver or third party.
     You agree to pay all shipping charges and destination duties and taxes for this shipment if the receiver or third party does not pay.
  • Claims
      If you wish to claim for a loss (includes misdelivered or damaged shipment).
    • You must claim in writing.
    • We must receive your claim within 30 days from the date that we accepted your shipment.
    • Please send or take your claim to your nearest Decent couriers office.
  • What we are liable for:
     Extend our liability in respect of any one shipment our liability for any one loss or damages however occasioned is limited to:
    • Rs. 100.00 or the actual amount of any loss or damage suffered by you, not over Rs. 100.00 the invoice value of the shipment.
    • This does not include any commercial value or special value to your or to any other person but the invoice amount.
  • Shipment insurance
     We recommend that you take shipment insurance, and please note that our shipment insurance does not cover consequential. Damages or losses caused by transportation delays and if you do not tick the shipment insurance YES, box on the front of this consignment Note you accept all risk of loss or damage.
  • Delayed shipment
     We, Decent couriers make every reasonable effort to deliver your shipment according to our basic delivery schedules, and these are not guaranteed and do not form part of this contract. We are liable for any delays.
  • Circumstances beyond our control
      We, Decent couriers, are not liable if a shipment is lost, damaged, or misdelivered because of circumstances beyond our control. These includes:
    • Act of God: earthquake, cyclone, storm, or flood.
    • Force majeure: war, Plane crash, or embargo.
    • Any defect or characteristic to do with the nature of the shipment even if known to us when we accepted it.
    • Any action or Permission by anyone outside Decent Couriers:
      • the sender or the Consignor.
      • the receiver.
      • an interested third party.
      • Customers or other Government officials.
      • The postal services, other carriers, or another third party that we contract to serve locations that we do not service directly, we are not liable even if the sender did not ask for or know about third party arrangement.
      • We are also not liable for electrical or magnetic damage to or ensure to photograph images or recordings.
  • Consequential damages
     We are not liable for the following, Whether they arise in contract or any other form of civil including negligence, and even if they are our fault.
    • Consequential or special damages or loss.
    • Other indirect loss.
    • Breach of other contracts.
     Consequential damage or loss includes, But is not limited to loss of income, profits, interest markets, and use of contents.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

  • The conditions stipulated above Decent Couriers and its servants and agents are firstly not liable for certain losses and damages, and secondly wherever they are liable the amount of liability is strictly limited to the amount stated in the conditions.
  • Customers are therefore advised to purchase insurance coverage to ensure that their interests are protected. See conditions on insurance above.
  • The terms and conditions continued here above will be subject to change from time to time based on need and on any new service being offered by Decent Couriers reserves the right to change, amend or cancel, any of the clauses.
